Aehr Test Systems is seeking to hire a mechanical drafter, in Clark PH, to create detailed drawings and plans for our award-winning products using the computer-aided design (CAD) software package – SolidWorks. Responsibilities include collaborating closely with engineers in the US, modifying designs as needed and ensuring that drawings comply with industry standards and project requirements.  

• Interpretation of Design Specifications: analyze and interpret engineering designs, specifications, and technical requirements provided by engineers.
• CAD Software Utilization: proficiently use SolidWorks CAD software to create accurate 2D and 3D models of mechanical components and systems.
• Collaboration with US Engineers: work closely with engineers to understand design intent, address design challenges, and incorporate changes as necessary. A high proficiency in English is required. 
• Dimensioning and Detailing: apply precise dimensions, annotations, and detailing to drawings, ensuring accuracy and adherence to industry standards.
• Materials and Components Selection: identify appropriate materials and components for the designed mechanical systems, considering factors such as performance, cost, lead time, and manufacturability.
• Drafting Standards Compliance: Ensure that all drafted plans and drawings comply with relevant drafting standards, codes and regulations.
• Revision Management: manage and document revisions to drawings as designs evolve, keeping track of changes and version control in a product data management system.
• Quality Control: conduct thorough design reviews of own work to verify the accuracy of drawings and identify any discrepancies or errors.
• Communication with Manufacturing Teams: to provide detailed documentation, including drawings, bill of materials (BOM) and specifications for manufacturing.
• Deadline Management: manage time effectively to meet project deadlines and milestones, prioritizing tasks to ensure timely completion of drafting assignments.

Essential Job Requirements:

• Proficient in SolidWorks or similar CAD software package
• Attention to details.
• Strong computers skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Effective communication skills to interpret and convey technical information accurately. 
• Team player and solid communication; strong interpersonal skills including conscientiousness, flexibility, dependability, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Must possess strong organizational skills.
• Experience in manufacturing a plus.
