Director/GM of Sales APAC
Introduction
Headquartered in Fremont, California, Aehr Test Systems is a worldwide provider of test systems for burning-in and testing logic, optical and memory integrated circuits and has systems installed worldwide. Increased quality and reliability needs of the Automotive, Data Analysis, Storage and Mobility integrated circuit markets are driving additional test requirements, incremental capacity needs, and new opportunities for Aehr Test products in package, wafer level, and singulated die/module level test.
Position Description
Reporting to the EVP Sales and Marketing, the Director/GM of Sales will lead all commercial activities for Aehr including Sales and any other business development activities.
The primary deliverable of the Director/GM of Sales will be to generate continuously increasing sales and gross margins for Aehr from the APAC customer base. The Director/GM of Sales will work both with direct customers as well as customers’ eco-system partners in high-volume semiconductor industry. Aehr anticipates expanding in the automotive, memory power semiconductor and silicon photonics supply manufacturers market.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the sales strategy of the APAC region. Synthesize market and customer opportunities and provide leadership and focus to the areas with the highest return on investment to Aehr.
- The Director/GM of Sales will personally engage with the lead customers and their eco-system partners, build the relationships with the key decision makers, understand their requirements, present the value Aehr brings to their organization, manage the complete engagement process and close the order.
- Must be able to sell to Aehr’s target customers in China, Taiwan and South East Asia.
- From these initial engagements expand the sales organization with a combination of direct sales people and a manufacturer’s representative network that is effective selling to Aehr target customers in China, Taiwan and South East Asia.
- The Director/GM of Sales will manage all aspects of the sales cycle such as opportunity identification, promotion, opportunity management, quotation and purchase order.
- The Director/GM of Sales will build and maintain relationships with executives/management at customers and end users to facilitate the sales process.
- Lead negotiations for all orders in APAC region making sure that the near and long-term interests Aehr are well comprehended into the negotiating strategies
- Be the primary external face of Aehr to APEC customer. Evangelize the value that Aehr brings to its customers and their end markets. Be physically present at trade shows, conference, and customer sites.
- You must be able to communicate and work closely with global team
Skills and Experience
- Proven successful track record of 10-15+ years global direct sales experience of capital equipment in either the semiconductor and/or semiconductor test and wafer industry.
- Thorough understanding of the high-volume semiconductor industry, and their business environment.
- Knowledge of the automotive industry, especially quality and reliability control, is an asset.
- Proven ability to establish executive level relationships. Existing relationships in the high-volume semiconductor is an asset.
- Strong hands-on sales experience is required as well as a proven track record to build and lead a sales organization from the ground up.
- Proven ability to lean in and get the job done to close orders is required whether that be by managing rep’s or personally conducting and closing a negotiation.
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills and the ability to articulate the value proposition of Aehr’s products.
- A self-starter who will take initiative, works pro-actively and consistently delivers results against goals and timelines.
- The candidate must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment and have the passion and energy to be a strong team player, driving towards the overall success of Aehr.
- Proficient in English speaking a plus
