Remote Test Stations for the ATX (RTXs)

Complete Pattern and Hardware Screening
- Develop and debug patterns and programs
- Prescreen BIBs before starting burn-in
- Diagnose problems with Driver Boards, Pattern Generators, and Burn-in Boards
Operates Like Two Slot/Two Zone Burn-in Station
The RTX is a two slot, one or two zone, ambient version of an ATX burn-in system. It offers the same conditions as a burn-in system, with similar backplanes and feedthrough boards. It has positions for two board sets consisting of a power supply module, driver board, and burn-in board; either or both slots can be used. And it can be configured for one or two zones.
Network Like Burn-in System
The RTX uses the same Ethernet communications method as an ATX burn-in system and it connects to the ATX network. Also, the RTX can be monitored from the Network Server like a burn-in system. The RTX user interface and software are the same as for the ATX.
Develop and Test Stimulus Patterns
Since it has the same software as a burn-in system, the designer can use it to develop and check ATX burn-in plans. The designer can test plan parameters for exercise phases, DUT power, and stimulus signals.
Check Loaded BIBs
The RTX provides a convenient and rapid means of checking loaded BIBs before loading them in the burn-in station. So reversed devices, devices improperly inserted, and shorted devices can be detected and removed before loading and starting the lot.
Test System Boards
The RTX offers easy access to boards while power is applied. So the user can test system boards, including power supply modules, driver boards, pattern generators, and burn-in boards.
Train Operators Without Interrupting Burn-in Runs
The RTX is also useful for training new operators without interrupting activity in the burn-in systems. Training can include inserting BIBs, cabling zones, and using the software.
